Cuando apenas contaba quince a\u00f1os, aparece en el teatro del Pr\u00edncipe como actriz supernumeraria. Poco tiempo despu\u00e9s, bajo la direcci\u00f3n de Juan Grimaldi, se present\u00f3 con un papel de dama joven y el p\u00fablico la rechaz\u00f3. La pobre actriz aquella misma noche quiso rescindir su contrato, pero Grimaldi la hizo desistir, diciendo: \"Usted a pesar de sus pocos a\u00f1os, no sirve para dama joven: en cambio ma\u00f1ana saldr\u00e1 con una peluca blanca a representar una vieja y ver\u00e1 la diferencia\".\r\n\r\nLa Llorente cedi\u00f3 y tres d\u00edas despu\u00e9s representaba la caracter\u00edstica de \"Amantes celosos\", y el p\u00fablico que la hab\u00eda silbado, la hizo una gran ovaci\u00f3n. La Llorente con Matilde D\u00edez y Romea, fu\u00e9 por muchos a\u00f1os la actriz de car\u00e1cter de mayor val\u00eda de la escena espa\u00f1ola. \r\n\r\nDa nombre a una calle del Distrito de Tetu\u00e1n.
